When manufacturing Foster ProPell™ Plus low friction compounds, the addition of special additives ensures that the friction of (soft) polymers is reduced while maintaining important mechanical properties. ProPell™ Plus is a significantly superior to existing additives and does not contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
Components such as catheter tubes made with ProPell™ Plus low friction compounds are less adhesive and therefore easier to handle. Due to the enhanced gliding property, they can be inserted into the body and removed more easily.
The compounds are ideal for extrusion and injection molding applications and offer flexible solutions for a wide range of projects.
