Foster's ProPell platform shows particular efficiency for low-hardness polymers. ProPell reduces their naturally high friction. Polymer compounds manufactured with ProPell are used, for example, in tubes for interventional or central venous catheter applications. In addition to high material flexibility, these tubes require low friction. Foster's ProPell platform enables precisely this combination of properties: a soft polymer with a low coefficient of friction. For the appropriate area of application in vascular systems or even for infusion purposes, translucency of the material is also helpful to ensure medical staff insight into the transported media and their flow behavior.
